Spicy Khaja recipe

Ingredients   (Measurement Conversion Calculator)

Omam seeds - 0.5 teaspoon
Oil - 1 Tablespoon
Cumin seeds - 0.5 teaspoon
Red chilli powder - 2 teaspoon
Coriander - 1 Tablespoon, finely chopped
Salt - to taste
Gram flour - 2 cups
Oil - as needed, to deep fr
Plain flour - 0.5 cup


Directions

Mix gram flour and plain flour together. Make a well in the centre, add all other ingredients, except oil for deep frying. Mix them well with the flour. Add enough water to make a soft pliable dough. Divide dough to make small (4 inch diameter) thin balls. Prick on both sides with a fork. Allow to dry on a clean cloth for 25-30 minutes. Deep fry in hot oil till a light browning appears. Do not over fry. Drain and cool completely before storing.




Sweet dish, served as dessert, suitable for vegetarians
