Ingredients (Measurement Conversion Calculator) Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
Carrots - 1 kg
Saffron - few twigs
Milk - 1.5 litre
Ghee or Butter - 1 Tablespoon
Almond or Pistachio - few, chopped, for decoratio
Sugar - 400 to 500 gm
Directions
Peel and grate carrots. Put milk and carrots in a heavy saucepan. Boil till thick, stirring occassionally. Once it starts thickening, stir continuously. Add sugar and cook further till the paste thickens. Add ghee, elaichi, and saffron. Stir on low heat till the mixture collects in a soft ball or the fat oozes out. Serve hot, decorated with a chopped almond or pista.
