Ingredients (Measurement Conversion Calculator) Cashew Nut - 20 gm
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Lentils (Mashkalai Dal) - 15 gm
Oil - 80 ml
Salt - to tast
Red chillies - 5 gm
Green chillies - 2 teaspoon, chopped
Coconut - 1 1/2 kg, dessicated
Basmati Rice - 1 kg
Lentils (Moong Dal) - 10 gm
Directions
Boil the rice with salt added to it. Heat oil in a pan and fry the cashew nuts. Keep them separately. Fry the lentils (both types) and spices. Mix the coconut, fried cashew nuts, fried lentils and spices with the rice in low heat. Once thoroughly mixed, remove from heat. Try not to heat it for too long. Serve hot with any Indian vegetarian or non-vegetarian curry.
